Founded in 1901 and located in the heart of the Claremont town precinct, Claremont is a family orientated, country club style tennis club with an active social calendar.
Sixteen superb grass courts and two state of the art supergrass courts under lights are complemented by a courtside heritage air conditioned clubhouse with barbeque, catering, licensed bar and all social amenities.
Friendly, semi competitive social tennis is available every Saturday afternoon from 2.30 – 6.30 for those aged 18 upwards. Computer generated sets ensure not only a balanced standard of play for each set but different partners throughout the afternoon. Complete beginners will be asked to take lessons with the Club Coach until an acceptable standard is attained.
For those under 18, why not come down on Friday afternoons during school terms – Juniors from 4.00 – 5.30pm and Teens from 5.30pm to 7pm

Coaching News:
Your Club Coach Peter Schoolkate is taking a hard earned break from his coaching routine in Perth. Peter is visiting Family in Holland from June 10 till July 19. All group classes continue as per normal but there is no holiday clinic at the end of this term. The coaching flyer for next term is on our website and enrolment forms will be sent to all players that normally enrol into classes.
Term 2 has been a great term for both players and coaches but term 3 is the one that is the run up to the summer. Junior Pennant teams will be put together, lots of classes and private lessons will be on offer. Also Ladies Drills have gone to the next level, classes are now 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours also a 3rd coach has been added to the drills. This 3rd coach is in fact “The Wall”, hopefully and very likely he will be available all year around as both Peter and “The Wall” will start training on Wednesdays after the ladies drills sessions.
Peter will play one tournament while in Holland as his aim is to get fitter and hopefully a better player for the upcoming summer season. Both Tristan and Brodie will play 2 tournaments while away so it will be great to see what the level of play is like in for both juniors and adults.
Peter is back in the last weekend of the school holidays ready for term 3.
